AGE NOTICE TO ASPIRANTS FOR SSC CGL EXAM 2017

 Attention of aspirants of CGL 2017 is invited to the instructions of DoPT contained in their OM No. 14017/70/87-Estt. (RR) dated 14.7.1988 specifying the provisions for determining the crucial date for calculation of Age and Educational Qualification for a Competitive Examination held by Staff Selection Commission as per the schedule of the Tier-II/Mains/Second Part of the Examination for that particular year. 

 Keeping in view the schedule of CGL 2017 available on the website of the Commission and the above DoPT’s instructions, the crucial date for reckoning of age calculation for CGL 2017 would be 01.08.2017 and no change in this date would be made.

Detailed information with respect to notice of CGL 2017 will be made available on the website of the Commission as per the schedule.

Notice regarding Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) - 2016

The Staff Selection Commission has conducted the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2016 in the Computer Based Mode in 43 Batches from 27.08.2016 to 11.09.2016 at about 415 venues in 96 cities throughout the country. This Examination was conducted at Srinagar on 25.09.2016. Against 38.04 lakh registered candidates, about 14.99 lakh candidates actually appeared in the said Examination. The Commission, due to administrative reasons, has decided to conduct a re-examination for one Shift i.e. the Second Shift (Batch-II) of the CGLE Tier-I which was held at 4.15 PM – 5.30 PM on 27.08.2016. This re-examination will be conducted only for those candidates who had actually appeared in Batch-II on 27.08.2016.The tentative date for re-examination is 27.10.2016. Further details in this regard will be intimated to the candidates separately in due course. The result for CGLE (Tier-I)-2016, in context of the revised schedule of the examination, is tentatively proposed to be declared on 08.11.2016 and that CGLE (Tier-II)-2016 would be tentatively held w.e.f. 30.11.2016 to 02.12.2016. The firm dates would be declared very shortly.

SSC CGL 2016 Revised Examination Scheme

This time the Commission has decided to reduce the Number of Questions from 200 to 100 in Tier-I of the above Examination which would continue to carry 200 marks. The duration of the Tier-I examination would be for a period of 75 minutes. It has also been decided to conduct the Tier-I and Tier-II in computer based examination mode in place of OMR based examination mode.

In addition to above, the Commission has also decided to introduce a Descriptive Paper of English/Hindi as Tier-III. The Question Paper will be bilingual. The candidates will have the option to choose any one medium. The details may be read as under:-

The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.



SSC CGL 2016 Admit cards

From 12 August on wards ,

SSC CGL 2015 Final Result Extension

The tentative date for declaration of result of CGLE-2015 was earlier indicated by the Commission as 30th May 2016.

However, due to some administrative reasons, declaration of the result is likely to take more time.

Keeping in view the interest of the candidates, the Commission will try to declare the result at the earliest.

SSC cgl 2015 final result date

SSC has officially declared the tentative date for declaration of result of SSC CGL 2015 tier 1 is 30 May 2016.

It will try to compile the results as soon as possible. Thus a possibility is there that we may get the results before 30th May.

POSTPONEMENT of SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 exam

SSC has postponed the cgl 2016 tier 1 exam from the scheduled dates of 8 May and 22 May to August 2016.

Exact dates have not been revealed yet. They will be soon displayed on the official site .
